Holistic Massage

Holistic massage is an individual treatment that is specifically tailored to each client taking into account emotional and spiritual wellbeing, as well as your physical body.

Massage is a treatment for the mind, body and spirit. It has a positive effect on a person’s overall wellbeing as it aids relaxation. It helps to reduce tension and tightness in the muscles and can have a beneficial effect on joint mobility. It improves circulation and helps with the movement of blood and lymph fluid.

Holistic massage is a stimulating and refreshing massage that uses a range of invigorating techniques. It leaves you with a relaxed mind and an overall feeling of wellness.

Benefits of Holistic Massage

  • Alleviate Pain

acute and chronic pain, including low back pain, neck pain, joint pain, headaches and more. If you suffer from conditions such as migraines, sciatica, fibromyalgia, you know that medication offers little relief. Some clients find that massage therapy helps when no other treatment has produced results.

  • Relieve Sore Muscles

    reduce painful spasms and cramping.

  • Increase Circulation

pumping oxygen and nutrients into muscles, vital organs and all our tissues. Blood flow promotes healing.

  • Boost Immune System

by stimulating lymph flow, which helps remove waste fluids from the body and increase white blood cell production

  • Reduce Inflammation

important for getting “knots” out of muscles, and especially beneficial in reducing swelling after surgery and accidents/injuries.

  • Ease Depression and Anxiety

by releasing endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers and “feel good” chemicals (amino acids), improving our sense of wellbeing.

Generally a massage lasts for around one hour and is performed over the whole body . While a whole body massage is often performed, sometimes a focus area will be agreed upon between the client and the practitioner as part of the treatment set (if a specific area of your body is causing you concern and problems for example).
